Okay adventurers, gather 'round and let me tell you about the exciting world of Archaeology! Think of yourselves as treasure hunters and historians rolled into one. This new skill lets you explore the hidden history of Minos, uncovering lost relics and powerful secrets.

How does it work?

1. Get your Spade: First, you'll need a special Archaeology Spade. There are different types, from basic bronze ones all the way up to mighty Infernal spades! Better spades require a higher Archaeology level to use, but they significantly boost your chances of finding goodies. Keep an eye out for how to obtain these tools of the trade!
2. Find the Dig Sites: Keep your eyes peeled as you explore the world! Special Archaeological Hotspots will appear randomly in certain areas. They look like shimmering, temporary excavation sites. Be quick though, they don't last forever and can only be excavated a limited number of times!
3. Start Digging! Once you find a hotspot, stand right on it and use your spade (click the spade in your inventory). If your Archaeology level is high enough for both the spade and the hotspot, you'll attempt an excavation! Success isn't guaranteed – it depends on your skill level and the quality of your spade. Don't worry if you fail, you'll still get a tiny bit of XP for trying!
4. Boss Hunter Bonus: Take down World Bosses and earn a special Boss Site Token. This nifty token lets you perform a super-charged excavation anywhere, using the best spade you can wield. Just click the token, and reap the rewards!

What Treasures Await?

Excavating isn't just for XP (though you get plenty, especially from tougher spots and with better spades!). You can unearth:

• Valuable Loot: Just like slaying monsters or opening chests, you'll find useful items and resources.
• Archaeology Fragments: These are the key! You'll find different tiers of fragments (Tier 1, 2, and 3). Higher-level hotspots and Boss Tokens yield higher-tier fragments. The tiers of fragments are used as a basis in crafting different boxes.
• Clue Scrolls: Using a Boss Token greatly increases your chance of finding those coveted clues!
• (Boss Token Exclusive) Activity Rewards: When you use a Boss Token, you also have a special chance to dig up extra resources tied to other activities in the game – think bonus slayer supplies, bossing materials, and more!
